Ward Boundaries: Bury West is on the western side of the Borough, the Bolton side of Bury Bridge and the River Irwell, comprising the electoral wards of Church and Elton. It covers the areas of Elton, Brandlesholme, and Woodhill, Woolfold, Lowercroft, Starling and Seddons Farm. It is mainly a built up area developed along the main radial roads into Bury from the west and north including Bolton Road, Ainsworth Road, Brandlesholme Road and the lower sections of Walshaw and Tottington Roads. It is divided roughly into three by the valleys of the Elton Brook & Kirklees & Woodhill, Brook which are only traversed by footpaths until the radial roads meet near Bury Bridge and is the only one of the Borough's six Area Partnerships areas not to have a town centre in its own right, although it borders Bury town centre.

Madeira
The council is made up of:
26 Conservative Councillors
16 Labour Councillors
9 Liberal Councillors
Bury is one of Lancashires oldest towns and owes much of its fortune to the Industrial Revolution during which great wealth was experienced and
many fine architectural
buildings were constructed.
Its famous son, was Sir Robert
Peel the founder of the Police Force & Prime Minister in 1841.
“It's official, Bury rated a ‘4 Star, Excellent Council’ by the Audit Commission”
Invest in Bury
Bury has many blue chip companies with a highly skilled workforce. Direct links to the motorway makes Bury an ideal town for businesses looking to relocate and with the planned redevelopment in the town centre, we are confident that Bury will become the place to live, work and enjoy our
leisure time.
